We’re pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of Quiet Company have appointed Lisa San Martin as Chief Executive. Lisa will start on the 8th of January.
Lisa is currently working for The Luna Cinema as COO and has a rich experience of working for charities and corporate companies. She has successfully managed sites such as the London Wetland Centre and headed operations at the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Lisa also has extensive retail experience working for the Wellcome Collection, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, and Durham University among others.
Lisa shared a few words with us: “I’m really looking forward to joining Quiet Company and being part of the wider Quaker family. Having regularly spent time at Friends House when I worked next door at Wellcome, I’m so looking forward to getting to know all of you.”
Lisa’s appointment is an amazing asset for our operations at Friends House and Swarthmoor Hall, and our ethical and sustainable model for Quiet Company. Matt Baker, clerk of the Board of Directors: “I am delighted Lisa will be joining us in the new year as we continue to develop our business, always keeping a focus on the company’s Quaker values. She brings a wealth of experience in both the commercial and charity sector, aligning perfectly with our commitment to the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit. My fellow directors and I very much look forward to working with her.”
We’re really looking forward to Lisa starting with us as the new Chief Executive of Quiet Company and are confident she will help us thrive as a company after the fantastic bounce back we have had since the pandemic, which you can see in our latest Annual Review. We would like to thank Eamonn Cole for the great work he has done as General Manager of the company. Eamonn will remain with us as Head of Operations, the position he had prior to Paul Henderson-Grey’s departure.
We wish Lisa a warm welcome and an amazing start to her Quiet Company, BYM and Quaker journey.
